The organizers of the 85th Academy Awards have announced that the ceremony will feature a special number to mark the 50th anniversary of James Bond's arrival on screen.

How exactly this tribute will be presented to the public live on February 24 is still a closely guarded secret.

Producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are overseeing the evening's events. The two have already collaborated on the adaptation of the musical Chicago and the comedy The Bucket List.

Comedian and actor Seth MacFarlane will host cinema's most popular awards ceremony. The ceremony will end with the Best Film of the Year award, which was won by Michel Hazanavicius's The Artist last year.

Nominations will be revealed on January 10.
