WWE wrestler-actor Dave Bautista tweeted confirmation of his casting in the upcoming Blade Runner sequel starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford.
The 47-year-old actor is currently reprising his break out role of Drax for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
“I can’t wait to share some really exciting news,” he tweeted.

He later tweeted a video of himself confirming the news, saying that he was very ‘grateful’ for the chance to be a part of the movie directed by ‘the amazing Denis Villeneuve.’

The message accompanied a photo of Bautista holding an origami unicorn, the same one that Harrison Ford’s Rick Deckard once used in Ridley Scott’s 1982 film, which is currently being developed for a sequel.
Bautista was last seen in Sam Mendes’ Skyfall follow up Spectre, starring Daniel Craig in his fourth film as James Bond.
The Blade Runner sequel is scheduled for a 2017 release and recently cast Robin Wright alongside Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling.
