Hollywood star Angelina Jolie is in talks to direct the film adaptation of E L James' steamy novel, Fifty Shades of Grey.
The 36-year-old actress recently made her directorial debut with well-reviewed Bosnian war drama In the Land of Blood and Honey, reported Ace Showbiz.
It was reported that Universal Studios was said to be impressed by the A-lister's directorial debut. There may have been an informal conversation between the two parties.
Jolie herself is currently busy with Maleficent. She issaid to be completely focused on the fairytale movie and "isn't entertaining other offers at this moment."
Being included in the New York Times bestseller list, Fifty Shades of Grey follows a 21-year-old female college student Anastasia, who has a relationship with a wealthy entrepreneur named Christian.
Their relationship deepens in the book's sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.
