Iron-Man? Hell, yeah. Captain America? The all-American superhero. Black Widow? The woman can kick some backside. Thor and Hulk? You really have to ask!
In this galaxy of super-powered, extra-large, extra-strong superheroes, Marvel has introduced the Ant-Man. His superpower? He can make ants spin a coin. Even the man himself (Paul Rudd) sounds apologetic when he talks about his superpower in the trailer, "I know, it wasn't my idea."
Having said that, the new trailer is better than what we expected. For a film which has had its share of troubles (director Edgar Wright bailed out of the project), the trailer is zany and funny.
Watch: The new Ant-Man trailer
Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) has hidden his size-shrinking supersuit from corporate bad guy Darren Cross for long (House of Card's Corey Stoll) but now the truth is out. Pym finds reformed thief Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) to don his suit and become the ultimate secret weapon who can interact with ants and make them do his bidding. Lang also has a job at hand: To stop Cross from turning the suit into a mass-produced weapon.
Meanwhile, Cross has transformed himself into Yellowjacket and the trailer's piece de resistance is their epic battle on top of a Thomas the Tank train.
As no Marvel movie can work without warnings about end of the world, we hear Cross/Yellowjacket say, "Imagine a soldier the size of an insect". Michael Douglas's Hank Pym is later heard saying, "If you bring godlike powers to everyone, it's going to be chaos."
Directed by Peyton Reed, the superhero movie will make its way out starting July 17 this year in North America.
