Highlight Story

A host of African-American celebs enthralled huge crowds at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) awards on Sunday. Tributes and bleeps were the highlight of the four-hour long Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards 2012, which were held at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

Why bleep? Because entire segments of acts by rappers Kanye West, Nicki Minaj to Rick Ross were muted out due to foul language. Hosted by Samuel L Jackson, the event saw singer Whitney Houston as the subject of an extended tribute by celebs such as her brother Gary, mother, Cissy, and singers Mariah Carey and Chaka Khan.
