Ryan Gosling is reportedly in talks to star in the sequel of classic sci-fi film Blade Runner alongside Harrison Ford.
The sequel which has been gestating for years will see original director Ridley Scott as the executive producer of the project, the Verge reported.
Harrison Ford will co-star as Rick Deckard, the role he portrayed in the original directed by Scott.
Hampton Fancher (co-writer of the original) and Michael Green have written the original screenplay based on an idea by Fancher and Scott. The story takes place several decades after the conclusion of the 1982 original. Story details, as well as Gosling’s character, are not being revealed.
The sequel is being directed by Prisoners director Denis Villeneuve and the shooting for the movie will commence in summer of 2016.
