The new Bourne movie is getting filled with familiar faces as Julia Stiles is teaming up with Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass once again for the untitled next chapter of the Jason Bourne franchise.
The 34-year-old actor, who has closed a deal to reprise her role as covert agent Nicky Parsons, appeared in the first three films, emerging as an ally for the amnesiac assassin Jason Bourne, Deadline.com reported. Variety confirms that an offer has been made to Viggo Mortensen for the role of the main villain, while Alicia Vikander is also eyed for a part.
Greengrass is writing the screenplay with Christopher Rouse and Frank Marshall is producing the action-thriller alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment.Greengrass, Damon and Greg Goodman also produce. Rouse and Henry Morrison serve as executive producers. Paul Greengrass returns to the directors' chair after sitting out the fourth film in the series The Bourne Legacy, which starred Jeremy Renner.
The fifth Bourne film is slated for a July 29, 2016 release.
