The third instalment of Bridget Jones Diary has reportedly been given the go-ahead to start shooting.
Contactmusic.com reports the leading actress of the film, Renee Zellweger, has been told she will not have to pile on the pounds like she had to do for the past two films.
"Renee had no reservations about saying yes once she found out she wouldn't have to get fat. She hated having to do that in the last two films," said a source.
While Renee will be reprising her role as Bridget, Colin Firth and Hugh Grant - who play her love interests Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver respectively - are also set to sign up and scriptwriters are planning a big twist between the three main characters.
"Colin is really keen on a third film. He thinks it will be a great flick to get his teeth into after all the success with The King's Speech, as it's so different. He's getting very excited about the idea of marriage and kids in the script now all the characters are older."
