Hollywood beauty Catherine Zeta-Jones is set to play a “music-hating villain” in the forthcoming movie Rock of Ages. According to reports, Zeta-Jones is in final negotiations to join the movie, which is based on an award-winning Broadway musical.
The story follows a small-town girl who travels to Hollywood in the mid-1980s in search of the “big-haired sound”. Director Adam Shankman describes the villain as being the product of a “Tipper Gore and Anita Bryant love child”.
The production has already attracted an all-star cast, with Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, R&B singer Mary J Blige, Paul Giamatti and newcomer Julianne Hough in tow for the project.
