Comedian Chris Rock, who hosted the 2016 Oscars, has joked on Twitter that he is going to run for president in 2020.

While a lot of Americans still find Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election hard to deal with, Rock took to social media and posted an image of himself from his 2003 film Head of State.

In the film, his character ends up becoming the new presidential candidate after the original nominees dies in a plane accident.

“I’m gonna run in 2020. Wish me luck,” he captioned the image.

On November 8, Donald Trump, the controversial Republican presidential candidate was elected as the 45th president of the United States of America, beating Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton.

In the days that followed, mass protests erupted in numerous states.

Chris Rock is one of several Hollywood celebrities who have openly voiced disapproval of Donald Trump, his policies, and his election.
