According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor/director Clint Eastwood has his heart set on the movie Jersey Boys, based on the musical about Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons.

Eastwood is apparently in talks with the producers of the project to direct the movie. Screenwriter John Logan (Aviator, Skyfall) was responsible for the cinema adaption of the musical about the group whose career began in 1962 and went on to include hits such as Can't Take My Eyes off You, December, 1963 (Oh What a Night) and Beggin' that have since become classics.

If the parties reach an agreement, the octogenarian director will replace Jon Favreau (Iron Man), who was briefly attached to the project last summer.

Clint Eastwood is still attached to direct a remake of A Star is Born. Sean Penn and Esperanza Spalding could play the leads in this movie about the music industry.
