He won hearts worldwide with his lazy moves in
Kung Fu Panda
, and now giant Panda Po will don the mantle of the Master in the film’s sequel titled
Kung Fu Panda 2
. He is back with his fighter mojo to tickle audience’s funny bone.
“I love Po’s innocence, his love of his heroes — the Kung F
idols,” says Jack Black, who voices the cuddly warrior. Angelina Jolie, who reprises her voice role of
South China Tiger
, says, “I love that she is very disciplined and loyal, and has a lot of respect for Kung Fu and her partners. I think she is an ideal role model for young girls. She is a quite an interesting woman character.” The actors have also fallen for the whole comfort behind voicing for the movie. “I love that. I can get up and put no make-up on and go to work in my pajamas,” says Jolie. Black adds, “I don’t wear pajamas, so when I go to work, I just go nude.”
The duo had their share of fun too while recording for the movie - while Black insisted on doing Po's moves himself, Jolie was glad she could bring her kids to the studio.
“It’s great, because they (her kids) sit behind the glass and watch you. And any time you do some kind of crazy Kung Fu sounds, you can see them behind the glass,” she says. Jolie, who raises six kids with her actor-partner Brad Pitt, also reveals that their brood finds Black and the Panda cooler than their parents but she isn’t giving up. “I am pushing the Tigress dolls,” she says.
