Deadpool gets nominated for best film and more shockers from Golden Globes

The nominations for the 2017 Golden Globe Awards were announced on Monday for movies and television. Like every year, there were a few expected names and some complete shockers.

Deadpool got nominated for Best Movie (Comedy) and Ryan Reynolds for Best Actor (Comedy) at the Golden Globes on Monday.

The nominations for the 2017 Golden Globe Awards were announced on Monday for movies and television. Like every year, there were a few expected names and some complete shockers.

La La Land, Damien Chazelle’s tribute to the Golden Age of American musicals, led the nominations on Monday with seven nods, including for best musical/comedy film and for its two star actors. Moonlight, Manchester by the Sea and Florence Foster Jenkins followed with six, five and four nominations respectively.

The Golden Globes, organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, will be handed out at a gala dinner hosted by Jimmy Fallon in Beverly Hills on Jan. 8.

Best Drama
