Dinner For Schmucks, which topped the US box office pushing Leonardo DiCaprio starrer Inception to second stop, is all set to hit theatres in India on August 13.

A Paramount and Reliance Big Entertainment venture, the film is inspired by Francis Veber's hit French farce The Dinner Game, which was also the inspiration for 2007 Bollywood hit Bheja Fry starring Vinay Pathak and Rajat Kapoor.

Dinner for SchmucksDinner for Schmucks has an ensemble and the funniest cast possible. Jay Roach, whose previous credit includes Meet the Parents has directed the film while Paul Rudd of Friends series fame and Steve Carell and Zach Galifianakis of The Hangover fame.

Rudd plays the straight man, while Carell charitably tackles the lonely loser who stumbles into his humiliation scheme.

The setup is simple: Find a schmuck, bring him to dinner. The guy with the biggest idiot wins. The film's goal, established over the course of one disastrous evening, is to demonstrate that the idiot isn't necessarily the guy you expected going in.

Except Carell's Barry really is an idiot -- a bumbling yet blissfully unaware imbecile.
