When Hollywood actor Tom Cruise stepped out of the Mumbai airport on Saturday, the sea of crowd that greeted him with screams was actually a group of junior artists who were paid to welcome him.
Hundreds of people gathered at the airport didn’t even know who he was and they had been hired for Rs 150 or $3 per person by a model coordinator to do the same, according to British website firstpost.com.
Those at the airport said they had been hired to scream and shout and had no clue as to who Tom Cruise was. They were in it for a buffet lunch and a pay of Rs 150.
The Hollywood sensation is in India to promote Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol. The actor is on a visit to India where promotions in Delhi and Agra will be followed by a special screening for Bollywood in Mumbai.
