A new trailer for the eighth film in the Fast and Furious franchise, Fate of the Furious, debuted at the NFL Super Bowl on Sunday. The clip, which is our second look at the widely anticipated movie after the first trailer which came out in December, is all about betrayal, a half-hearted kiss, and of course, a lot of cars.
The latest spot is just a minute long and looks more or less like a more concise version of the first itself. A lot of scenes are the same, the tone is the same and nothing new is revealed.
There is, however, an awkward kiss between Vin Diesel, who has gone rogue and betrayed his family and friends, and Charlize Theron, the ‘dreadlocked’ villain of the instalment.
Director F Gary Gray’s film also stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky, Kurt Russell, Scott Eastwood, and Helen Mirren. The Fate of the Furious opens in theatres on April 14, 2017.
