Singer-actor Zendaya Coleman has reportedly landed a role in the new Spider-Man reboot starring Tom Holland.
British actor Tom Holland was revealed as Andrew Garfield’s replacement in the superhero franchise in June last year, reported Deadline.
Jon Watts is directing the film and he has reportedly cast Zendaya as a character named Michelle, which may or may not be a codename for one of Spider-Man’s more popular love interests like Mary Jane Watson or Gwen Stacy.

Further details about Zendaya’s role have not been revealed and it is unclear if she will play Holland’s romantic interest or sidekick in the project.
Holland will make his debut as Peter Parker and his alter-ego in Captain America: Civil War in May, before his stand-alone Spider-Man reboot is released in 2017.
He was cast as the web-slinging superhero last June, after studio bosses at Sony Pictures decided to ditch plans to continue with Garfield as the comic book character in further follow-ups to 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel, and start the movies again.
