Actor Annabelle Wallis, best known for playing Grace on hit British drama Peaky Blinders, has shared a behind-the-scenes picture of herself with her The Mummy co-star Tom Cruise.
The photo shows the 31-year-old actor posing in the desert along with Cruise and other cast members Jake Johnson and Courtney B Vance.
“#THEMUMMY in Africa. #Namibia, we are so excited to be here!,” she tweeted.
The reboot of 1999 film revolves around an ancient queen whose destiny was unjustly taken away. She is awakened in the current day after years of being safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert. It brings with her malevolent growth over millennia and introduces terrors that defy human comprehension.
The upcoming film stars Sofia Boutella as the Mummy. Russell Crowe, Marwan Kenzari, Javier Botet and Dylan Smith are among other cast members.
Directed by Alex Kurtzman from a script written by Jon Spaihts, The Mummy will hit US theatres on June 9, 2017 and is part of a Universal Monsters universe that will feature classic monsters like Frankenstein and The Invisible Man. Joining Cruise and Crowe in the star-studded series are Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem and Luke Evans.
