Last year, UTV Motion Pictures got Indian band Agnee to create the theme song, ‘Hello Andheron’, for the Hindi release of their Hollywood film, The Avengers. This time, the production house is all set to get the rights of the song, ‘Sone ka dil lohe ka haath’ from a 1978 movie of the same name.

An industry insider reveals, “It is imperative that when a Hollywood release is dubbed in Hindi and opens in the Indian market, production houses promote the film like any other Hindi movie.”

The source further explains, “International films don’t have song-and-dance numbers. In India, TV promos are a primary source of publicity; and with music channels playing them, it becomes almost essential for a Hollywood film to have a song in it. This time, for Iron Man 3 (the Hindi version), the makers will revisit an old film to get the song ‘Sone ka dil lohe ka haath’ for the promotions.” The source adds that “the song will be remixed to suit the sensibilities of the movie.”
