Wolverine, or Hugh Jackman as he is known in the real world, is apparently set to return to Mumbai for another visit. The actor, who attended the FICCI-Frames film convention in 2011, will be in the city to promote a 3D animation film, The Rise Of The Guardians. However, this time, he will have company. Hollywood actor Chris Pine, best known for his portrayal of James T Kirk in the 2009 film Star Trek, will accompany him. This will be Chris’s first visit to the country.

“Hugh and Chris have lent their voices to the film, which will release in India around Christmas. The actors have decided to create a huge buzz for it and make it a sure-shot success,” says a source.

The Rise Of The Guardians is a fantasy adventure. When fear takes over the world, five guardian angels — Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Jack Frost and Sandman — come to its rescue. Hugh and Chris will lend their voices to the Easter Bunny and Jack Frost respectively.

However, they won’t be around for long. “They will be in Mumbai for two days prior to the release. They will make the most of their time to promote the film,” says the source.

However, this is not the sole purpose of their visit. The duo will head to Goa for some prior commitments. “They will be part of the Sunburn music festival to be held in Goa around that time. And they are using the opportunity to promote the film as well,” says the insider.

Viacom 18 will distribute the film in India. When contacted, the spokesperson of Viacom 18 chose to remain silent on this development.
