Inglourious Basterds star Michael Fassbender says he is open to the idea of starring in Robocop.
The 34-year-old actor was suggested for the role earlier this year by the sci-fi film's director Jose Padhila and Fassbender says that he would be willing to take a look at a script, reported Feamlefirst online.
"You know, I'm always open. I'll take a look at the script and sit down with the director and have a conversation. It's not definitely like, 'Oh, I've got to play RoboCop before I retire'.
"I don't have that about anything. I don't go, 'I have to play the Dane one day, or Hamlet. I don't really think like that. I just wait and see what comes up, and I'm always open to it," he said.
The last year has been super busy for the actor with X-Men: First Class and Jane Eyre having already been released.
Haywire, A Dangerous Method and Shame' are in the pipeline for the new year.
He won Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival for his performance in Shame and he has been tipped for an Oscar nod.
