He admits that a heavyweight surname gives easy access to Bollywood, but Politician Ram Pilas Paswan’s son, Chirag Paswan says that, on the flipside, he is burdened with expectations.
“Powerful surname gives you an easy entry in any profession, but eventually it is your own talent that will sustain you in the industry,” says the 25-year-old actor, who is making his debut with Tanvir Khan’s Miley Naa Miley Hum, adding, “There are too many expectations and pressure when you come from such a background.”
The actor is debuting with three female actors in the movie — Kangna Ranaut, Neeru Bajwa and Sagarika Ghatge. Any questions on his favourite or the hottest among the three, and Paswan laughs out loud. “I am yet to complete my promotions, so I am going to be politically correct. I will say all three of them,” he says.
Paswan says he trained himself in front of the mirror. “I watched films for six hours every day and then redid the whole movie in front of the mirror my way. It was no breaking news for my family when I said that I wanted to get into films,” he says.
No pressure to get into politics? “No, my father was in fact, very supportive. Politics flows in my blood and I will definitely take it up later. But as of now, I am here to stay in the industry,” says the actor, whose next goal is to find love. “I am absolutely single and dying to fall in love,” says Paswan.
On Dad’s Reaction
It was no breaking news for my family or friends when I said that I wanted to get into films. My father was in fact, very supportive.
Politics flows in my blood and I will definitely take it up later. I love talking to people and listening to their issues. Both politics and bollywood give me the same platform
I am absolutely single and dying to fall in love. I have always been single because I am waiting for ‘the love’ to come along.
