Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff, who also enjoyed a singing career, has likened his music to Bruce Springsteen's.
The star’s songs were much loved by people in Germany and Austria, where they sold so many copies that he received gold records.
The 60-year-old also revealed that he is particularly proud of his song Looking for Freedom, which he performed at the Berlin Wall in 1989.
“I want to do the music I want to do. In Germany, I was singing everything from ... 'I've Been Looking For Freedom!' Which is a big anthem and huge hit. Kind of almost a Bruce Springsteen,” Stuff.co.nz quoted him as telling The Guardian.
Although he loves music, Hasselhoff is proud about playing a lifeguard on Baywatch.
The actor insisted that despite some people joking about the series, it deserves its place in history.
"Maybe it's not curing cancer but it's about saving lives, about heroes, and good-looking people and women in bathing suits and what's wrong with that when you're at the beach and the weather is the way it is,” he added.
