He may have built a powerful suit of armour to protect the world, but it seems Iron Man needs a little help when it comes to his height. Actor Robert Downey Jr, who plays Iron Man in the movie franchise, is set to reprise his role in his upcoming flick, The Avengers.
But, Robert is reportedly considering wearing additional heels in order to match up to the height of his other taller co-stars — Chris Evans (as Captain America), Jeremy Renner (as Hawkeye), and Samuel L Jackson (as Nick Fury) — in the ensemble superhero outing.
A source from the film’s production unit reveals that they are working on adding ‘some lifts hidden in the boots’ of the Iron Man suit so that the superhero would appear taller than he actually is. “Robert stands at 5’8” in height but when you compare him to the rest of the cast in The Avengers, you’ll realise he could be the smallest among others,” says the source from Los Angeles.
Apparently, Robert had also admitted in an interview to a fitness magazine that he has always been hesitant about accepting a hero’s part in a movie due to his ‘not so tall’ height. The Avengers is scheduled to release in India on April 27.
