Highlight Story

James Bond 50 years on film A special-issue Omega watch, a Royal Mail stamp series, an Activision video game, an exhibit of 007's vehicles and retrospective screenings from five decades of the franchise -- these are some of the ways the iconic James Bond is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Perhaps the ultimate commemoration of Ian Fleming's suave and sexy super spy 007 will be BOND 50, the box set of the complete 22-film library to be released for the first time on Blu-ray this September 24 in the UK/Europe and September 25 in North America. The 23rd film in the series, Skyfall, hits theaters November 9.

In addition to the collection of films, from Dr. No to Quantum of Solace, the sleek deluxe package includes more than 130 hours of bonus features with exclusive content, including the debut of nine Bond films previously unavailable in high-definition Blu-ray.

BOND 50 provides two new pieces that highlight the history of 007: The World of Bond focuses on the agent's signature style and attitude -- cars, gadgets, women, villains and music; Being Bond profiles the actors who portrayed 007 -- featuring portrayals of the famed role by Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, George Lazenby, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. Additional material includes behind-the-scenes footage, cast and crew commentaries, in-depth interviews, exotic locations, music videos, memorable moments from daring stunts to humor, and trivia from the Bond Universe.

The set retails for US$186.28. Each disc holds from three to nine hours of content with commentary by the directors of the feature films (Terrance Young, Guy Hamilton, John Glenn and others) and cast and crew, featurettes, photos, trailers, TV spots, deleted scenes, opening titles sequences, music videos, and more:
