Jim Carrey has revealed that he has decided to withdraw his support for ‘Kick-Ass 2’ in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre. Carrey tweeted on Sunday saying that he can’t stand behind the violence in his upcoming movie. The 51-year-old apologised to people involved with the film, saying that he is not ashamed of his decision.

He said that recent events have caused a change in his heart. Kick-Ass had generated controversy due to the violence and profanity performed by 11-year-old actress Chloë Moretz.
