Hollywood star Johnny Depp has joked that he would “assault” an Australian politician if his wife, model-actor Amber Heard, is sent to prison for allegedly smuggling their dogs into the country. Heard is facing charges for illegally smuggling their pet dogs to Australia earlier this year.
The 52-year-old actor quipped about the case on TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, that he would hit Barnaby Joyce, Australia’s agriculture minister, so that he, too, can join his wife in the jail. “I’d just fly Down Under and assault that man so that I could go to prison,” he said. Depp, who will soon be seen in the film Black Mass, added that the dog drama had been “by far the most interesting” legal case he has ever been involved in.
He also said that if anybody tried to bully his kids, he will destroy them. The actor , who will be seen in the role of James Whitey Bulger, added, "I come from nothing but hillbillies, and my mom said to me, 'Alright, here's the deal, next time anybody puts their hands on you, pick up a brick and lay them out."
The father of two, further said that he followed his mother's advice and it really worked for him.
