Director Colin Trevorrow has offered us clips, teasers and trailers from the upcoming
which have been all over the place. A truly interesting first trailer was derailed by the 70s era clip which was criticised by, among others, Avengers director Joss Whedon for its blatant sexism.
The trailers introduced us to the main characters -- park manager Bryce Dallas Howard, oafish game keeper Chris Pratt, owner Irrfan Khan and brothers who are visiting the park Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson. And of course, the park's main attractions -- the awe inspiring dinos.
However, now a new teaser has arrived which captures the spirit of the franchise like none other -- this is the place where life always finds a way and death follows in its wake.
As a dinosaur egg cracks open and a jaundiced yellow eye looks at us from within, scenes of mayhem are played in flashes -- Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson fleeing as they are chased by dinosaurs.
It is the inherent menace in the trailer which is far more terrifying than the scenes of actual violence. Now, we hope the film -- which releases June 12 -- can keep us as terrified and glued to our seats.
