Sex And The City star Kim Cattrall has revealed that she is being considered for the role of an older temptress in the film adaptation of the erotic novel, Fifty Shades Of Grey.

Cattrall confirmed that she heard reports she is going up against Uma Thurman (above) for the job of playing Elena, an older housewife who first seduces leading man Christian Grey to bondage.

She is known for her role as Samantha Jones in the HBO comedy series Sex and the City and for her leading roles in the 1980s films Police Academy, Big Trouble in Little China, Mannequin, and Porky's. For her role as Samantha Jones, she won a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2002 and received four nominations for the role.
