Leonardo DiCarprio is making good use of his fortune as the actor has donated $15 million for environmental conservation through his organisation.
In a press release, the 40-year-old said that the planet has been under destruction continuously and it could no longer be ignored, US Magazine reported.
Around 27 organisations working for innovative and impactful conservation projects around the globe received grants and additional money went to individual winners of the Goldman Environment Prize.
Beneficiaries include Wildlife Conservation Society, the International Fund for Animal Welfare, Save the Elephants, the Conservation Land Trust, Tree People, Oceans 5, and the World Wildlife Fund.
DiCaprio's Foundation which started in 1998, is dedicated to the long-term health and well-being of all Earth's inhabitants.
