Highlight Story

The first trailer of Ang Lee's Life of Pi is finally out. It features a young boy Pi (Suraj Sharma) braving the storm that leaves him deserted on a boat with a Bengal tiger.

The trailer begins with the bellowing of thunder as a ship gets caught in a tumultous storm. As we watch the boy try to escape the sinking ship, we see a zebra passing getting carried away with the current of the water.

Pi manages to escape in a lifeboat only to discover that he is marooned with a royal Bengal tiger. What follows is rather interesting.

The contrasting use of loud noises of destruction interspersed with deafening silence is rather impactful, while the special effects are very realistic.

Life of PiThe trailer has certainly whetted our appetite for more! Plot Synopsis

Director Ang Lee of Brokeback Mountain and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon fame creates a groundbreaking movie event about a young man who survives a tragic disaster at sea and is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery.
