The upcoming comedy And So It Goes will bring together Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton under the direction of PJ Hogan, reveals Deadline.com.

The Australian director, who put his name on the map with Muriel's Wedding (1994), will direct Douglas in the role of an aging and self-centered realtor whose life takes a turn with the unexpected visit of his granddaughter. He seeks help from his neighbor, played by Diane Keaton, to change his ways and rekindle his ability to love.

And So It Goes is based on a script by Mark Andrus, who worked on the story for 1997's As Good As It Gets starring Jack Nicholson.
