Katniss Everdeen is ready for battle and the new teaser and poster can't emphasise the point enough. In the latest teaser from Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, Jennifer Lawrence's girl on fire stands atop what looks like a sculpture but as camera pans, we realise that it is the sculpture of the now infamous District 12 salute, which has become the symbol of rebellion.
Katniss' is wearing fiery red and her cape bellows in the air. Her bow is in her hands and, as we know, the war is here.
The teaser seems like war propaganda which Katniss was also part of in the Mockingjay part 1. And sure enough, a message appears on the screen: "Unite D13 The revolution is about all of us," followed by "Stand by for a message from District 13."
Katniss found refuge in District 13 in the film, whose president is Alma Coin (Julianne Moore). While the teaser is everything we expect, our one complaint is that it is too short to satiate.
On the other hand, the poster of the film is striking and leaves a l;asting impression. We see Katniss sitting on a white chair which is in stark contrast to her red battle gear. Going by her expression and body language, it is clear that her transformation into a hero and saviour of the masses is complete. It reads: 'The fire will burn forever.'
In the last film in the Hunger Games franchise, all the characters are back. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Jenna Malone, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland, Stanley Tucci, Sam Claflin, Natalie Dormer, Julianne Moore anfd Phillip Seymour Hoffman in his final role. It is written by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and directed by Francis Lawrence for a November 20 release.
