This Christmas there’s a special treat for children as their favourite heroes — Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny and Jack Frost come together in the 3D adventure flick, Rise Of The Guardians (ROTG). Directed by Peter Ramsey (of Independence Day, The Hulk fame) and starring Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher and Jude Law, ROTG tells the story of a group of heroes, each with extraordinary abilities.

Ask Hollywood star Chris Pine, who plays Jack Frost, if he faced any fears as a kid himself, and he says, “My fears were the same as any other kid — fear of the dark and being alone. It actually struck me while making this film that most of the fears you have as a kid are to do with being alone, being on your own and not having the safety net of your parents or a support system.”

About his role, Chris says, “I think these childhood fears are what Jack’s dealing with, in the beginning of the film. He feels like an outsider because his safety net was ripped out from under him so early on in his life and he’s had to make his own way.”  Explaining why he agreed to take up the role, Chris says, “I like the pure heartedness and simplicity of the story. There’s an earnest quality to the Rise Of The Guardians — there’s a joy and belief in imagination.”
