As many as 10 illustrations from the visual guide to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story have been found on a book trade site, revealing some of the locations, events, vehicles and characters destined to appear in the December 2016 film.
This article remains as spoiler free as possible, but its sources, linked within, spill the beans with gusto.
The ten double-spread pages are non-final drafts intended for inclusion in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story: The Official Visual Story Guide, and list names and descriptions for the movie’s major characters, heroes and villains alike.
Several artworks go on to confirm the identity of characters not yet revealed by early publicity for the film, whose first trailer was released in early April ahead of a December 17 theatrical debut.
It’s not known yet whether Disney and Lucasfilm planned to unveil every one of those characters before the movie’s arrival, but the studios will have to consider how to respond.
The companion book, whose images were carried by book retailer’s trade site Edelweiss and picked up on by German-language fan site Jedi Bibliothek, is listed as a $24.99, 160-page affair set for release on January 24 2017.
