Next year, the Twilight series of movies will come to an end, thus seeing the last of now iconic characters like Edward, Bella and Jacob on screen. The vampire-themed romance films, based on Stephenie Meyer’s books by the same name, have found millions of fans across the world. And with the penultimate film of the series, Breaking Dawn – Part 1, set to release this Friday, the buzz surrounding it is high.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who play Edward and Bella respectively, have been caught up in this fantasy for three years now. They may have starred in other films during this period, but those aren’t the characters anyone remembers them for. Naturally, one wonders whether they’ll be able to shed these tags anytime soon. “Yes, people know Bella more than me. And I am the face for Bella,” admits Kristen, adding, “I don’t think it would affect my future roles, though. Every-one likes to experiment.”

Robert, too, is forthcoming: “I’m an actor and would love to explore various kinds of roles, but I’m going to have to work really hard to make them as iconic as Edward.” The duo, who’ve confirmed their romance off-screen too, have shared a gamut of graphic scenes in Breaking Dawn — Part 1. “We’re both so much into our characters now, and so used to being in love that at times, we don’t realise the difference. It really makes our chemistry stronger,” Robert gushes.

Kristen too describes her experience as “real and very emotional.” Breaking Dawn – Part 2 will release next year. Does the pair have plans after that? “We’re doing a film called Bel Ami together,” confirms Robert. Kristen, meanwhile, is sticking to the fantasy genre with Snow White and the Huntsman, and Adventureland.
