The production on Paul Rudd-Michael Douglas-starrer Ant-Man begins this week. The latest superhero to join the Marvel film franchise neither has the swagger of Tony Stark aka Iron Man, nor the bulging muscles of Captain America.
In a still released by Marvel, Paul Rudd -- who plays Ant-Man -- is seen wearing a hoodie and sporting an unshaven look. Low-key and rather underwhelming, the look is quite a departure from high-on-testosterone posters of superheroes we usually see.
When not playing the superhero who can shrink and enlarge at will, Rudd will play Scott Long -- a thief brought on by Michael Douglas’ scientist Hank Pym for a heist to reclaim stolen technology.
The film also stars Corey Stoll and Evangeline Lilly. John Slattery will appear as Iron Man’s father, Howard Stark.
Ant-Man will release in the US on July 17, 2015.
