Is it really that surprising for a series with a history of ridiculous titles to name its eighth installment The Fate of the Furious?
Beneath the self-serious tone of this title, there is hidden a pun. Whether or not you nod your head in appreciation at their wit or shake it in embarrassment, this is what the new Fast & Furious film is going to be called.
And as you wait for the trailer to arrive on Monday morning, ask yourself this: What’s the most ridiculous title a Fast & Furious film has ever been given?
But before that, take a look at the unstoppable behemoth this series has become:
There is no place for logic in an argument like this. In a series whose chronology stopped making sense 7 years ago, we must not let rationality get in anyone’s way. Especially since the titles are made all the more nonsensical once you consider how the fourth film isn’t the fourth film really, and the third one is actually the sixth.
So without further ado, cast your votes down below. And remember, the future of the series is riding on it. Depending on which title wins, we may or may not get a future film titled The Fast and the Furious Nein (a time travel tale in which Hitler returns on a Volkswagen hybrid seeking revenge), or FasTEN your Seatbelts (The family agrees that safety always comes first).
