Actor-comedian Ray Romano, who rose to fame with American sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond, tapped on a different aspect of his career when he became the voice of Manny, mammoth character in successful animation franchise, Ice Age.
Romano retruns as the character in the fourth installment in the series, titled Ice Age: Continental Drift 3D.
Romano says his reel life (as Manny) and real life (as dad to a daughter approaching adulthood) came together in unexpected ways. “Just as Manny has to deal with Peaches becoming her own person or ‘mammoth’, I’m kind of living the same thing, because my daughter just graduated from college. That’s a big thing for me, because I still think of her as a kid with a running nose. The good news is, I’ve never been stuck on an iceberg,” says the 54-year-old actor.
The film that releases today, also has voice over by singers Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj.
