After playing Theodore Roosevelt in Night At The Museum, Robin Williams is set to embody another US president on the big screen. According to Variety, he will portray Dwight D. Eisenhower in Lee Daniels' The Butler.

This biopic follows Eugene Allen (played by Forest Whitaker), a White House butler who worked for eight US presidents from Truman to Reagan. This all-star cast also features John Cusack (as Richard Nixon) and Jane Fonda (as Nancy Reagan), as well as Oprah Winfrey, Alan Rickman and David Oyelowo.

Production is set to begin by the end of the year.
