Sandra Bullock is now a proud mother of two after adopting a second child, Laila. In an interview to People magazine, the 51-year-old actress revealed that she has adopted a three year-old girl, who was previously in foster care in Louisiana.
The Gravity actress had adopted her son Louis five years ago. The Oscar-winner said she had adopted both her children from Louisiana.
“When I look at Laila, there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here,” said Bullock, “I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time.”
The process of expanding her family began three years ago, with Louis helping to lead the way. “Louis spearheaded this whole journey,” she said in the interview. She also revealed that the two siblings have since formed an inseparable bond.
The actor said the whole process of bringing Laila home took a lot of patience and plenty of reassurance. “I knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I weren’t going anywhere.”
