A critical scene in the upcoming Hollywood film, Fast & Furious 7, has been scrapped because the makers realised it was too "dangerous" and risky.

The shoot was being organised at the Willow Springs International Raceway near Palmdale, 45 minutes from where actor Paul Walker tragically died. Lead actor Vin Diesel and other stars were also present at the venue.

Members of the crew said producers had brought in drivers who were "authentic street racers" for the scene, but just before filming was about to begin, producers abruptly cancelled the shoot, citing it as too dangerous.

Meanwhile, the film has wrapped shooting and stars were posting images on social media.
