Singer-actor Selena Gomez is planning to turn a movie producer with a film version of a book called, The Sky Is Everywhere. She also plans to act in the film.
The 19-year-old and her production company, July Moon, has optioned the teen book written by author Jandy Nelson. Besides from developing it, Gomez will play the lead protagonist named Lennie Walker, reports Aceshowbiz.com.
The film follows the story of a 17-year-old, a bookworm and band geek living in the shadow of her sister Bailey. When Bailey suddenly dies, Lennie is left to take center stage. Gomez was last seen in the comedy film, Monte Carlo, and her upcoming movies include the film Spring Breakers, with actor Vanessa Hudgens.
