Shane Warne has revealed the reason why his relationship with Elizabeth Hurley ended. He says it was too hard and scheduling was just not helping.
Years after their separation, cricketer Shane Warne has finally broken his silence about his relationship with Elizabeth Hurley. He said they called it quits because they both found their relationship too "hard".
The former cricketer was engaged to the 50-year-old actor for three years before they went their separate ways in 2013.
Speaking to The Times magazine Warne, 45, said, "Relationships are hard. Really hard. They shouldn't be, but they are. Tough. Always an interesting dinner conversation: Are two people meant to be together for the rest of their lives?"
The dad-of-three confessed that him and Liz were certainly in love before they called off their engagement. He said: "We hit it off straightaway. Fell in love, got engaged. We both went, bang. We just got on really well. We giggled, we had a laugh. We got to know each other. You know?" he added.

Shane Warne insists he is very, very single at present.
However, the couple struggled to find time to see each other due to their hectic careers, Warne insisted "scheduling" was not the only factor which led to their split.
"It wasn't just scheduling. When we first met, she was basically not doing anything. She was a farmer. And I had retired from international cricket. But then Elizabeth went back to work, shooting movies and TV series. I was playing cricket and poker."
He added, "She was going to America, doing her breast cancer awareness stuff for Estee Lauder. I had my poker, I had cricket commentary. I had children in Australia, so just putting all that into the mix. The number of whiteboards we had about travelling," the former Australian cricket star explained.
"So the reason we split up, it wasn't just scheduling. It just shouldn't be that hard," he added.
But even after the split Warne, who is still in contact with The Royals actor, looks back on their time together with fondness.
