Looks like Deepika Padukone’s debut red carpet appearance in the West did not go as well as expected.

The 30-year-old Bollywood diva, who attended the MTV EMA awards at Rotterdam this year in a Monisha Jaising creation, failed to impress the fashion-gurus.

An international daily not only featured her among the ‘Worst Dressed Celebs,’ but also tagged her as a ‘Bollywood Blunder.’

The Daily Mail’s exact words read as follows, “Bollywood blunder: Indian actress Deepika Padukone may be stunning but her swamp green bralet and skirt combo did nothing for her sensational figure.”

Deepika, who is all set for the release of her Hollywood debut xXx: Return of Xander Cage next year alongside Vin Diesel, was one of the presenters at the event along with her co-star Nina Dobrev.

On a related note, Daily Mail is the same publication which once failed to recognise the actor, when she stepped out with tennis player Novak Djokovic, and got heavily trolled by the Indian audience. As a result, they then had to apologise by re-introducing Deepika in the same article.
