Last year, Hollywood film The Imitation Game — a historical thriller about British mathematician and pioneering computer scientist Alan Turing — was received well globally.
With the film soon to release in India, we have come to know that the Indian distributors of the Keira Knightley and Benedict Cumberbatch-starrer are planning to organise a special screening for India’s former president, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, in Delhi.
"We want Dr Kalam to watch our film as he embodies the same values as Turing, and his contributions are very significant. So, we are hosting an exclusive screening of the film for him," says an insider from the distribution company.
The screening is likely to be held this weekend or early next week. When contacted, Deepak Sharma, COO of PVR, the distribution company, says, "Dr Kalam is one of the most respected Indian geniuses and the film celebrates the life of a similar icon. We are very excited to have him see the movie."
