We just can't get enough of James Bond, especially if it has to do with the latest trailer of the highly awaited Spectre. After the first trailer established the story of Bond 24, which has to do with a secret hidden in Bond's childhood, the new TV spot introduces us to the Daniel Craig-starrer's action montage.
The opening is as ominous as that of the first trailer till it cuts to the chase, literally. We get to watch a shootout, a few car chases, a murder, a plane crash and some good old hand-to-hand fights. Going by the TV spot, it seems director Sam Mendes has significantly upped the action content in the film.
Here are some great set pieces from the trailer: The plane skidding down a snowy mountain slope, a chase scene where a car has its top torn off and Bond's fistfight with Dave Bautista's henchman. It is not just the audience which gets to see action, Bond gets himself some too.
So, we meet Monica Bellucci's Bond girl (yes, she's that). What we want to know is why Daniel Craig introduces himself to her with the most reluctant "Bond, James Bond" ever heard in the franchise's history.
In this film, a cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover the sinister organisation, SPECTRE (SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion). While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind the organisation.
While the organisation was originally led by the villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the makers have not revealed whether Blofeld will appear in the new film.
Daniel Craig reprises his role as Bond for the fourth time in the film. The cast this time sees returnees Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and Rory Kinnear. New to James Bond? Christopher Waltz, Monica Bellucci, David Bautista, Lea Seydoux and Stephanie Sigman. The film releases this October.
