Director Steven Spielberg says he will not retire until his friend, 81-year-old actor-director Clint Eastwood, decides to retire too.
The 65-year-old, who has directed 50 films in his career, said he will continue to work in Hollywood as long as Eastwood does, reported Contactmusic. "I have no plans to quit. Clint Eastwood is one of my best friends, and we have a joking relationship about retirement. Clint's like 81 and I always go, 'OK Clint are you ready to retire this year?' And he says, 'No are you?,' Spielberg said.
Discussing his new movie War Horse, based on the story by Michael Morpugo, the director said it is more of a love story than one about war. "What makes this unique is that it is a story of love and a story of war, but I don't really see this as a war story. If you really look at the movie, there's really only 15 minutes of combat in the film."
