Superhero flick The Amazing Spider-Man is all set to hit screens in India on June 29, four days ahead of its US release.
The release of the film, based on the comic book of the same name, has been preponed in India keeping in mind the weekend collections at the box-office, since July 3 is a Tuesday.
"The movie was earlier slated for July 3 release worldwide. But keeping in mind the high box-office collection on weekends, we decided to release in India on June 29," said a Sony Pictures spokesperson here at the unveiling of an exclusive eight minute footage of the film today.
The film stars Andrew Garfield as the new Spider-Man, alongwith Hollywood beauty Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans and Indian actor Irrfan Khan.
It is the fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise produced by Columbia Pictures.
The film's second part, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, is on cards and will hit theatres in May, 2014.
