The third instalment of the Hollywood superhero franchise Iron Man is set to include a treat for superhero fans. A trade source reveals that the Marvel production will reveal the first trailer of the sequel to last year’s hit, The Avengers, along with it. “The Avengers is a big franchise and the makers are set to release the film sometime next year. However, they have made the first trailer and will be releasing it with Iron Man 3,” says the source.

The Avengers was a hit in India and the makers want to cash in on that success to push the sequel. Both Iron Man 3 and The Avengers 2 will be released in India by Disney-UTV. Indian fans of Iron Man will get to see Robert Downey Jr in action on the big screen before the rest of the world.

“India is a significant contributor to Hollywood films. Releasing both The Avengers and Iron Man 3 a week before (the film releases in the US on May 3) made sense for us due to the extended weekend and no major Hindi release during that time. Plus, the summer vacations will start soon, which is a big advantage as all the characters have a huge fan following among kids,” says Gaurav Verma, director, India theatrical distribution, studios, Disney-UTV.
